The Victoria County Historical Society (VCHS) is a non-profit heritage organization that works to increase community awareness, appreciation, involvement, and support of the local museum and Victoria County’s cultural heritage. It seeks to collect, preserve, exhibit and publish material pertaining to the history of the County of Victoria (now the City of Kawartha Lakes), in particular, and to Canadian heritage generally.
Through the museum and its community outreach initiatives, the VCHS features, celebrates and shares educational content to the public based on significant events in Canada’s history and how they link to the local community.
