Do you remember spending Saturday nights at the dance pavilion? How about when The Tommy Hunter Show filmed at the Academy Theatre? Did you work at a local factory? Did you serve in WWII? The Victoria County Historical Society (VCHS) wants to hear from you.
The VCHS is undertaking a project in 2019 to collect the stories of local seniors and preserve them in video and book formats to share with the community. The project, titled Precious Memories, invites all seniors to participate and share at fun and friendly discussion sessions throughout Kawartha Lakes. Spend time with other seniors, reminiscing about the old days. Look through photos and albums and mementos of years gone by.
LOCAL HISTORY DAY

Join us from 12 - 3 pm. Bring photo albums and memories to share. Refreshments will be provided for this “Coffee and Conversation” event. Everyone is welcome to attend.
We are looking for seniors to help with the discussion sessions.
If you would like to volunteer to help with the Local History Day event, a session in your area, or other VCHS activities, please contact the VCHS for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
